Sam, fair comment however i will learn to like it.
Wolfie, your mate probably just rides it and has no interest in maintainance. The guys i have spoken to who own them cannot get enough of them, a majority of them have owned BIRDs and won't change back...personal choice.

Its not about owning the fastest production bike.............your getting it wrong, its about numerous facts and the big one being that i'm bored of the BIRD, sick of the sight of it.

BAZ, i've owned the XX for 3 years and done 23k on it, is that long enough for you? Read ALL my posts on this thread and that is why i'm changing.
BORED BORED BORED and want a fresh ride.
Why buy a new BIRD??? its only gonna have less miles than mine, nothing else is different,, the one i have is perfect.
So what if its ugly,, if you don't like it then you'll not be looking for a spin on it man8um

Anything mechanical can go 'POP' at anytime, luckily i'm up for a challenge. If was to want a bike for all year use i'd be looking at BMW but its only gonna be for the March -- October season and some rain, i'm sure it can cope with that.

yes mate anything can go pop, but i am just letting you know what has gone wrong with his, i would never buy one but that is my choice. in my eyes they are shite still, but you could be lucky and not suffer what he has had to put up with.

but after all that he still loves it so i guess the engine must make up for some of the short comings that are still there.

enjoy YOUR bike

It's all down to personal choice, some people like Vauxhalls, me & Vauxhalls don't get on, I think one of the reasons why I don't like the Busa is because one of our managers at work has one and he is a prat, so maybe subconsciously I feel that it is a prats bike, (Not that you are a prat John :k ) you have had your BB for three years and you want a change, what's so bad about that how many of us change our cars within three years, if you are no longer getting the enjoyment out of your bike change it simple as, and as there is no uprated modern Blackbird why get another of the same, you do right John enjoy your new bike mate whatever you get.

just make sure it is black. :}

Why do you feel the need to justify yourself to these morons?

Most of them have no idea and can't ride properly anyway. Look at the quality of the questions and posting. Do what ya feckin want. At least YOU don't have to look at it while you're riding.

Yoda - wise words indeed. :bow: k1ap k1ap
Why can't these miserable cnuts just be happy for you :rolleyes:

Mind you, I can't ride either, that's why I ride a little 750 and a slow old Fazer :B

Just don't go down this route :puke:

But surely the Barge IS a track bike. I'm sure I've seen Bens hammered round a track. I realise Blue Barges are field bikes though:lol:

Blue Barges make poor off roaders and I've seen Black Barges hammered into tracks, but Busa's make better track bikes than Barges or is down to rider disability? :}

Busa

Hola John.
Lots of interest in your Busa matey I've seen a black one in M?laga, I like them myself too!
I thought it would be interesting to see how the new ZZ1400 will compare.
I'm sure you will have a nice ride down to southern Spain next year and give it a blast but watch for radar traps as a few are springing up here and there. :xm
One of the previous posts commented about tyre wear, my Bird which we went to the GP on got through 5 rears and 2 fronts in ten months! That was about 20,000 klms (not miles) so will the Busa be any different ? I think not, but if you enjoy the bike that's all that matters, who gives a toss about tyres, looks or runnings costs, you go to work, you earn you money and in my book you spend it on whatever makes you happy. Enjoy the life you've got.. it's not a rehearsal !! (and this from the geeza who's just bought an old ZZR600 to play on for the winter!)
Ride Safe.
Regards from 28c in the sun :} .
