maybe ocuk are living in the past, like 20 years ago when you could post something (no matter what) at point A and it would get to point B 99.99999999999999999% of the time with no fercker dipping the sticky little fingers inbetween
we get loads of gear nicked thats been sent to us but its covered by the senders, so they have to put a claim in etc, we just get another parcel sent out buckshee
dare i say it...post office and parcel force are the worst for it :loo:

Well, there IS a happy ending to the story - the new TFT monitors arrived from Aria yesterday - checked them out round next doors (who has the appropriate leads and it saves unwrapping them) and suprise ! They both work soooperb and no dead pixels.

My boy will have a happy Crimble afterall! (and so will I WHEN I get to use it - but as SWMBO said, "not until Xmas day".

I also spied a box yesterday in the wardrobe - had BAGLUX on it - it goes to show, if you ask Santa, he sometimes doesn't feck it up! :yo:

TFT, etc

Any idea what you can clean TFT screens with ?
I've had mine for 18 months and it has a liberal coating of bodily fluids (mainly spit!!) which leaves nasty stains, any idea how to get them off. Could use the usual screen cleaner but thats for glass and I wouldn't think it would do the TFT any good, or not ???
When I picked up my TFT along with the comp from PC world (yes I know!) I found 1 pixel in a nice shade of red, so I took it back the following day, slapped it on the counter and said I wasn't gonna leave until I got an unblemished one. If they thought they could take the best part of a grand off me and then think they could get away with a dodgy screen they were very much mistaken, probably ended up in some other poor mugs house ! Needless to say I got a new one there and then and it's been prefect ever since.

All I need to do now is clean it !!! %$fan

Soft yellow duster with a dab of distilled water. If the marks are really stubborn try using a tiny amount of diluted vinegar on the cloth. Don't push too hard and don't get the screen too wet.

Hope this helps.
