I'm fairly sure you can get spare pins
You can, I wrote to Feridax for my Shoei and they sent me some by return. I haven't managed to get any for my Arai, but each kit contains a couple of spares in any case......

OK, got a pinlock insert and the pins from J&S at northwich for my Arai, it looks like it will fit ok, should it have come with a template as to where to drill the holes, and what size drill? I understand that the insert should be under slight pressure on the visor to get a good seal, so I suppose pin placement is crucial for it to work.

Jono - there are actually two kits. One is a DIY kit which includes the template, a drill bit, the pins and the insert. The other is just the pins and insert. Sounds like you have the second version - I'd get back to J&S to get the DIY version.......

yeh, the kit I used for the wife's shark had a drill with it.
When you get the right kit, put some masking tape on the inside of your visor, then centralise the insert on the visor with the visor flattened a little, and then put a mark on the tape with a marker pen, then carefully drill. This should then mean when the visor is back in its natural position there will be enough pressure on the pins and seal. As I said earlier, the pins are actually adjustable, and by spinning them you can alter the pressure and fit.

Take your time and you should be fine.

Go for the Race pinlock as it gives better vision with the dropped riding position.
