We usually go through Matlock on the way to Manchester (visiting the missus family and all that), there's a road near there called Snake Pass (I think), not sure what the actual road number is but it's awesome, have'nt taken a bike on it yet until april (got a wedding to go to). It's almost worth going all that way just for this road, can't really explain it you just have to go there, you'll see what i mean. Haven't got anything like it here, probably why it's made such an impression. Watch out for the "Old Bill" though.

I think you are getting confused between Northerners and the imigrants who try to pass themselves off as Northerners, the difference is Northerners are still riding their bikes in Winter [As the three Black Blackbirds in Wakefield nick car park on Friday proved] whereas the immigrants have their bikes in several pieces and claim electrical problems.

For the Record although it may be well North of where you are the Midlanders are not Northerners, they are actually not tough enough to be Northerners but slightly too tough to be Suvveners so they settled in no mans land.

About 15 miles South of where I originate from. but another six years and my missionary work will be over, I think the natives are now taking notice as there are less of them marrying their sisters these days.
