I don't have a problem with revenue cameras being placed anywhere that has a posted limit .........ie anywhere that isn't covered by one of these

as far as I'm concerned anyone who gets nicked for speeding anywhere else deserves what they get.

As for HGV drivers ........ by far and wide the majority of experienced Truckers are far better drivers, more road aware, considerate to other road users and considerably safer than most bikers will ever be !!! it's a fact learn to live with it. I've held a class 1 licence for 31 years and a bike licence for 30 years and in that time I can quite honestly count the times that I've had reason to curse a trucker on the fingers of one hand......where if I'd had a penny for every nob head cager or rider thats ever pissed me off I'd own Billy Gate's soul by now.

Motorways have 3 lanes, a slow lane a fast lane and an overtaking lane if there is something in front of you travelling slower than you move to the next lane to the right and pass it after all you are the one doing the overtaking manouver the duty of care lies with you not the people in front who should rightly be concentrating on what is in front of them.

Two problems here, they have taken nearly all the national speed limit signs down now and second Ian is the one who hates lorrys :blush:

Not all motorways have three lanes. In any case I extend my proposal to ban lorries to the inside lane on dual carriageways too. I dispute your statement that wagons don't "dual it out" on duel carriageways because...well we've all seen 'em.

The national speed limit on dual carriageways is 70mph, so I don't understand your argument about "4mph" comes from, surely that's 14mph.

And to all members of the truckers' fan club out there - you're batting down the RH lane about to overtake a couple of lorries and, BANG...one of them swings out in front of you in the same second his indicator comes on, suddenly the whole road is down to 55mph. Tell me that you've never seen it happen...like EVERY fookin day.

Tell me you've never seen a truck six feet behind the one in front for mile after mile.

Tell me you've never seen trucks just pull out in front of other traffic - just because they can!!!

I'm sure that truckers are very skilled and are very aware of what's going on on the road around them, but they often ignore what's going on and abandon their skills.

And if truckers also ride bikes cos they've got a speed fix then god help us - I don't think the two are compatable.

quite a few truckers i know also ride bikes. cause it gives them their speed fix.

they ride bikes to get their speed fix, if i had to drive a slow boring truck all day then i would def. need a speed fix as soon as possible.

lumpy no m8 you got i wrong about motroway lanes its

1 left lane is for me when i drive slowly 40 ish to make the truckers over take.

2 middle lane is for me when i drive slightly quicker 50ish no reason for this i just like pissing people off.

3 right lane is for me when i over take all those people who should not be not getting in my way
