can almost taste the 9lb gammon maranating in the cider, bay leaves, cloves, peppercorns, chillies, brown sugar, wholegrain mustard, and apple juice..transfer of meat and juice to cooking pot where it will be tickled several hours ander a low heat before being stripped of its skin and coated with cloves, apricot jam, mustard, then baked off to form a sweet golden brown crust in the oven :lick: :lick:..who knows might even do a starter for everyone else too %$fan

Potato's, DK ???? :dunno:

We no longer bother with traditional Christmas dinner....cook the chicken, beef and pork on Christmas Eve, carve it all up on Christmas morning, lay it out in dining room with salad and pickles, go to the local pub at midday, Trace pops home about 2 o'clock and puts a load of chips in the deep fat fryer.......by quarter past two we're tucking in to the grub !!!! :lick:

I'll try your tips on the beef cooking though....sounds tasty !!!!!

OK it's sleep deprivation time again, I'm on nights, our lass has had me out to Morrisons last minute shopping, wound up at all the f'ckin aisle crawlers leaving their f'ckin trolleys at an angle blocking the aisles, not to mention the single parent pram pushers.........
