Remember I posted a link to GoogleMaps recently? It was impressive, but nowhere near as impressive as their latest incarnation: Google Earth

Zoom in from space to anywhere on the globe and then rotate the view anyway you wish.........you can plan a journey and then 'fly' it! This is unbelievable............still in Beta

Boinging this to the top as it's currently allowing downloads........

I'm still blown away by this and hopelessly addicted to it........ I just 'flew' the cat 'n' fiddle run at 240mph!

If you go to New York and zoom in, you can overlay all the buildings in 3D and then 'tilt' the view, never seen anything like it..........

I just threw the .exe across to Jaws via Skype in about 30 seconds!

Any other Skypers want it let me or Jaws know and it can be transferred rapidly......

Wow...................

what fun, could be very addictive!!!
Shame its a little unfocused on rural areas. The New York one is amazing Sam, need to play about a bit more though!

London, San Francisco and New York are all brilliant............. I think you have to pay to upgrade it to get proper resolution of the rural parts..........

I like the way when you route plan it flies you along the route...........all the settings can be changed in the options drop down.........

The Grand Canyon looks beautiful..........as does the Hoover Dam

Yes. Even more impressive when you tilt the view and spin around it.

Tip: remember to have the 'terrain' check box ticked...........

I saw Pug's piccie of the volcano and thought 'mine doesn't look like that!'...........I've spent hours flying around a flat planet!

The valleys in Wales are brilliant now I've got the terrain working!

I have managed to download it from the link, however I find when I zoom in it is blurred, I have tried different screen resolutions to no avail, could it be that I need a graphics card? as currently I am on integrated graphics.

samster said something about this to me, I think that if you get the paid version its clearer. Mine is the same. Although you do have to wait a little for it to load properly.
