winter riding

Could it be that this is the best time of the year for riding,
apart from the cold! Switch on heated grips and away I go.
I put all my warm gear on today and headed into
the Yorkshire dales, Otley - Pateley Bridge - Middleton - Masham - areas,
No tourists, No flies, No mud, No flies, No caravans, No flies,
No queueing cars, No flies, No coaches, No grazing sheep near road, and






no mates because they wont go out in the cold.

Anybody else into winter riding?

I used to ride year-round. Now I work from home and the bike gets used about twice a week. Same number of times as I leave the house!

me too and even when I do leave to see a client this time of year, it's a choice between turning up looking like shit in a crumpled suit, a streaming snooty nose and frozen everything (including my laptop & smartphone; I kid you not!!!) or sitting in a cage with heated leather seats, multi-choice CD player & climate control...........mmmmmm.......choices :dunno:
Even when it's bright in clear, you have to constantly remind yourself that the tarmac is ferking cold so forget about "spirited" riding :B
