This is what I started with. Its a Baotian 50
First job remove all the tat and crap
And the loom.. Had to split it right down as I intended to use a lot of the connectors
Then it was in to the workshop where the first job was to strip and clean the carb as the petrol tank was full of water
Next was to start hacking the frame.. this big loop had to go as did the shock top mount as it was too high dor what was coming
Top shock mout welded back on in a different location
Next was to sort out the messy front end and cut it down 7"
First of all the stem
Then the headstock
Then bolt the front end back together
This was the first seat /tank subframe... Was not till I finished it I realised it was much too high !
This the lower, neater frame with the tank mounts in place
Once that was done, along with the myriad of small finishing jobs, I just had to bolt it together
As I said else where .. the seat looks crap, but it works and that is all that matters
