why the feck should you have to ask if it is a smoking enviroment when looking for a job.......?......
why the feck do you think that an employer owes you a living under
your terms and conditions...
It is
his buiseness that he has created from
his blood sweat and tears not yours ... if its in a smoking enviroment or not is irrelevent, what is relevent tho is wether you choose to work for him or not, or wether he chooses to employ you or not...
The freedom of choice is the issue here not the shite disguising it...
A perfect example of my policing question...
we went to watch a Walter Trout concert at the Sherwood rooms nottingham the other month... ?15 a ticket, packed out seedy little dive..
On arrival it was found that Walter had dictated that it was 'no smoking' night.. 300+ people crammed in like beans in a sardine can.. within half an hour you could see people lighting up in differant parts of the room ..
I said to bouncer.. I thought it was a non smoking night ?? he said it is, looking through the plooms of smoke towards the stage.. I asked him what he was going to do about it ?? nothing, it will cause a riot..wtf.
Do I walk out and miss the show ??? report them to the police and demand the place is shut down ?? either way I lose.. no more concert..
Whats ironic as well is, I asked why it wasnt advertised that it was a non smoking event and people would have known in advance and could have had the choice.. His reply.. because there would be no f**ker here !!!
It should have been stated on the tickets or adverts that it was a non smoking event and people would have had the choice.. but it wasnt, and now I know why ...
so how should it have been policed ??
