Welcome to my world and

well done Roxxo; great to hear someone else enjoying a track day and learning. Seeing those pictures of tyres reminds me of my early days mate & the novelty of getting 'em warmed up proper & making them work. From the look of 'em it looks like you've got your suspension set-up sorted.
Your SP1 looks the dogs and along with Dukes and Milles, irrespective of the rider, it's always tuff to get by 'em coming out of corners as they've go so much grunt compared to a straight 4. Well done again; I bet you're hooked?

Did Cadwell today with focusedevents.co.uk
Still buzzing now but knackered.
I taped the speedo over so I didn't frighten myself but I have never revved the SP1 so hard and I never used the top 2 gears. It's not about top speed it's those wonderful corners, corners, corners.
I love corners!
Following the instructor was really confidence inspiring and using the cones for the entry, apex and exit was excellent.
Just join up the dots. Fantastic

Yep. Can't wait to go again. I hadn't ridden Cadwell for 25 years. I used to do a bit of marshalling for the Skegnes motorcyle club. Mind you the 1970 triumph daytona I had then is a world away from the SP1. Cadwell for me is a special circuit. OK it's local 25 miles away but it is so twisty and up hill and down dale. They do call it the mini Nurburgring.I t really is a beautiful, picturesque circuit.

I must admit to feeling a little intimidated at first but everyone was so friendly and helpful. I did 5 x 20 minute sessions which was enough for me in one day. There were still another 3 seesions left. I could feel my concentration waning so called it a day. I think I did the right thing.
A mate of mine was there on his Gixer thou K4 and braked avoiding the back of somebody and low sided it. He was OK but plenty of cosmetic damage to the bike and that much earth in it Alan Titchmarsh would have had a field day!
EVERYBODY....GO DO A TRACKDAY.....

Well Done.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your first track day, and a good place to begin within.

I have instructed at Cadwell and will agree you did the right thing.
Too many riders will push themselves simply becasue there's track time left, instead of realising or admitting they are too tired, both phyiscally and mentally to carry on.

Now do it again, at the same circuit, and see how much calmer you'll be which will in turn make you quicker.

Have fun..

Buzz.

Another happy vibrrrrrraaaaaating "V" twin Honda rider....... top man Roxxo, it sure gives you a good feeling eh mate, I`ve ridden cadwell under supervision of the great late Hizzy......
the circuit is top dollar...(once you`ve mastered the goose neck.... )
I noticed the dunlopes were a tad "used"...not too bad looking at them for saying you were laying down all that torque.
glad you had a good day
Chunks..
