When riding in the wet with VERY worn rear tyre - how does one avoid the inevitable slides?

Advice would be appreciated as there is one member on here who doesn't know the answers!

If its of legal depth then ride as you would normally ride. If it is in the illegal range then you shouldnt be out riding in any weather :xm

Ride in the wet? If you have never been to Scotland then you have never had to ride in the rain $%3un August 2004. 500 miles in a monsoon, would have been better off in a feckin' canoe

this was from a very slow take off from a set of lights

feeding in the throttle very steadily, there must have been something on the road - there is no way the tyre should have let rip at that slow take off.....no way....:t
