race can stickers

w;;v I've just sent for a couple of race can stickers ally type, that you trim and stick over the not for road use stamp.
Has anyone else had any dealings with plod with these on.
They're getting really stricked here in Wales I've not been pulled yet but it's just a matter of time.
Other guys here that have been stopped since fitting the stickers say the cans are ignored.

They are fine until one falls off or something :p
Whilst I could never condon their use, be aware that you bought the cans as road legal from a car boot sale, as fitting the stickers is a serious offence ( perverting the course of justice )

Depends who pulls you

You could have PC know it all,,,,,,,, who will prolly know exactley what you have done :xm or PC know phook all,, who will try & know it all but will just see the covers read what it says & let you go on your way.

Interested to know whats on them,, is it a kite mark & BS number ? or does it say "for road use" I think only the kite mark & BS number will fool plod.

Are these the ali ones that come with two rivets....BS mark...and a number on 'em ?? :dunno:

I've seen 'em advertised in the bike mags and they look the part....but would it not be better to polish out the 'Not for road use' markings altogether before you fit 'em ?? Just a thought.....but if the police were to get a bit suspious and check into it.......hello 'perverting the course of justice' charge !!! :B

They're not the alloy plate type just a sort of alloy foil but they do look as legit I'll put a pic on when they arrive.

First of all...

Before you can be convicted of any offence it has to be proved you did it!

So if you brought the bike with the cans on, so be it.

If you purchased the cans off a bloke at bike meet with the stickers on, so be it.

Come chaps, use your imagination

Buzz, your friendly plod (nursing a fookin great hang over at the moment) :puke:

Question about dual flow/powerport (where you can remove a plug to make it full flow and fooking noisy) cans that have a genuine E11 stamp? Would plod say
1/ 'listen mate, you might have the fooking stamp but I don't give a fook 'cause the butt plug isn't in, so your can isn't legal so you're done right and proper, dry with a fistful of seasalt'
2/ 'your exhaust appear to be amanzingly noisy sir but it appears to be legal because it has the coveted E11 stamp so sorry to have stopped you sir, please forgive me and here's a fifty in compensation for me having doubted your integrity sir'
