Have been toying with the idea of getting a PDA with Sat Nav on, Argos do em from 249 quid...

Now what else can a PDA do? can I use my phone sim card and make calls? can I access the internet, poss via sim card. Can I use the PDA like I can the lap top and record driving hours via excell...

Or is it just better to invest in a sat nav and keep the phone????

Keep it simple for me please, pretty please...

You could do all that (and a whole lot more) with a PDA phone like the Orange M500 (actually a "Jam") or any one of the XDAs. I use mine for MP3, Phone, Satnav email and browsing, all in one and it handles the pausing of music when a call comes in etc. You can even get it to collect you emails and read them out to you on the move! Only thing is, I'm a self-confessed techie and it isn't the simplest thing in the world to set up if you are not particularly techie yourself.

A dedicated unit is much easier to use. For a multitude of reasons, the best one on the market at the moment IMHO is the Garmin 2720, but it's very pricey. If you want something cheaper, try Woolworth for the Garmin i3 as they were selling them with the UK maps for just ?89.99  . If you want fully waterproof, try the Garmin Quest, or if you want street level Europe mapping fully installed, the Quest 2.
