My boys were brought up on proper music, like ELO, AC,DC, OMD, Black Sabbath etc, most of there mates think they are strange. But at least they appreciate it. I was listening to War of the Worlds the othe night and now thats in the eldest boys room....

ELO , that brings back memories , got all thier albums on LP somewhere ( left them in a loft when we moved ) . Last Train to London was sampled by the Kittens a while back and Livin Thing was sampled on some house / rave shite, or whatever its called, recently. Some of thier songs never leave you . Waterfall would be an excellent track for someone to cover and release today ( Face the Music LP ) . Must go round to my old address and repossess them.

Thanks for jerking my memory

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh classic Sci-Fi Rock!

I'm off to see Jeff Wayne's Musical version of War of The Worlds at the NEC next month...........can't wait..................they're gonna have a full scale fighting machine, Richard Burton's voice synced to a massive holographic 3D head suspended above the arena!

The show will be broadcast on TV next year and a DVD available

"As it struck, all five fighting machines exsulted, emmiting deafening howls which roared like thunder. ULLAAA!! ULLAAA!!"

"the chances of anything coming from mars, are a million to one but still they come"

I consider myself fortunate as I don't have a single track mind where music is concerned, if I like something it doesn't matter who or what is singing/playing [although I've yet to hear a rap song that I like] I won't just buy a CD because a certain band/singer has released it but there are certain singers/groups who seemed [Imho] never to release a bad record like ABBA, OMD, Slade, Neil Diamond, as I say, my opinion. :p

Now there's a thought, Rap. It cant be called "Music can it?" If you don't like one you don't like any surely? They all sound the same to me :dunno:

That's probably why I haven't found one that I like, heard one you've heard them all.
