need quick cure

need quick cure for flu, taken everything poss, anyone know any old remedies like your granny used to get rid of this. much appreciated. bev feeling like shit. thanks

Vitamin C, and plenty of. 1000mg twice a day is supposed to help shift colds and flues.

Wray and Nephew overproof rum from Jamaca its about75% proof, at least I think it helps but I tend to loose a day or so when I buy some as a flu cure :neenaw:

pussers original rum 140% proof but I think the stuff they sell in this country as pussers is only about 75 or 80% proof if ever you are in gibraltar get some.

sweat and sex ian we live on the east coast you only get one or the other. tonight dont think ill get either. shes got a swollen throat as well. she would have if i had my way. theres always tommorrow and salt water. its amazing how tlc can work in your favour.

A hot Ruby Murray does the trick! The hotter the better.
Your body temp gets so hot, it thinks you're getting a fever and tries to fight it off, and gets rid of any cold/flu in the process. I'd put a toilet roll in the fridge though.....

I always find that the so called cures and remedies only serve to prolong the symptoms and make me feel shittier, the way I cope with it is to just try to carry on as normal (depending how bad I feel) go out into the fresh air as much as I can (pass it on to everyone else, why suffer alone?) and generally try to get the message to the nasty little bugs that I aint gonna give in to them... works for me...eventually.

fill a pint glass with malt whisky, down it in one and go straight to bed with electric blanket on or hot water bottle before the effects hit.

works for me every time. wake up with hangover c7u8 but no flu :yo:

thanks for tips. think ive found the cure, hot bath for 2 hours, 2 bottles of wine, burn menthol crystals,a smoke, bath water at near boiling point, listening to clannad. once you fall out of bath looking like a wrinkley lobster you cant stop laughing. well it worked for the night anyway..bev
