Small Boy ......

Is it normal to get a small washer-boy (a le Oliver Twist) when one buys a Blackbird? :dunno:

I didn't, and small boys are quite cheap out here!

Should I go back and complain?

It's 3D Studio Max 5 with the Brazil render engine. I did post an earlier image in the main forum but thought you'd get piss bored of seeing them :) The red is a tricky one, I'm using my girlfriend's machine during the day and her gamma settings are blown to shit.

I'm still squashing and poking holes in things. I can't find a plan view of the nose, but it's corrected from the side. I think I'll be photographing the toy one with a zoom lens tonight.

A mudguard and few holes more.

I think I'll be doing the fuel tank again though, this looks like the local kids have been at it with a hammer...

Same again from a different angle. Renders take about 18 minutes now at this resolution.

Luckily it only takes a minute to render a single part, so I'm usually sure all the mistakes are out before I do a full-size all the bits. I reckon I'll have to use a dual-channel material to get the red/pink effect right though, this looks too much like a ducati paint for my liking :neenaw:
