I really don't know what the world is coming to. I was foolish enough to watch the video of Armstrong being beheaded...perhaps it was morbid curiosity. I certainly didn't expect what I saw and was traumatised to the point of almost being physically sick. I still cannot forget the image of that brutal act against another human being. These people are nothing but barbaric, blood thirsty scum.
I have been watching the Bigley saga very closely and was hopefull that perhaps he may have been spared the gruesome end his fellow workmates suffered, however it wasn't to be.
Condolences to the Bigley family. He suffers no more.

Why the hell do we do it?
Some of the threads here say there is no way of stopping it. I agree.
But..
Why does the media have to support this type of thing by always having it in the headlines.
Terrorism only exists if people know about. You can commit hundreds of crimes, but if there is no reward then it becomes pointless doing it, so why give them media coverage - that’s one of the major things they want - deny them that - it makes it less attractive.
When these groups take a tape to TV stations, the stations should say ‘no thanks, not interested’ and send the sick dogs packing.
As for my thoughts on these people, they are sick, pathetic, cowardly, fanatical low life scum that don’t deserve to breath Gods good air and enjoy what the world has to offer them and should crawl back down whatever sewer drain they crawled out of. :loo:

As horrific as the murder of Ken Bigley was. As has been said here, he knowingly went to work in a war zone for personal gain.
At the weekend, a 14 year old girl was gunned down in cold blood from a passing car. This was in Nottingham UK. At least the terrorists think they are doing these things for a cause. Im not sure what my point is, but what the fuck is going on in this world.

The media has a lot to answer for. These terrorists feed on fear and terror that is propagated by all the media. 24 hour news coverage and the journalist's philospophy of the story must be told does not help at all. The terrorist should not be given this free publicity. The media should not reveal every nuance of every operation, especially the covert. There is too much detailed reporting of military operations.
The internet should not be allowed to show such pornography as the beheadings of the 2 Americans. Like all pornography it propagates the sick, the vile and the evil.

That a lot of todays violence is brought on by Film, TV, Video games etc..
I was sat infront of the telly on Sunday morning (post GP :bow: ) with Emma's little lad James, he was watching some crap kids cartoon which was completely violent and bizzare. Is it any wonder the kids are growing into such animals when all they have to watch is this bullshit on kids TV.
The cartoon consisted of poorly animated people with lazer guns zapping each other and then flying tanks firing guns at each other :bang: :bang:
WEAPONS are the evil in the world, if it went back to good old fist fights then the world would be a finer place. Weapons promote cowardice and ultimate violence not respect. it is FACT that the media should keep a lid on a lot of what goes on so as not to promote it.

Haven't cartoons always been portrayed as more amusing when violent? how many of us have laughed at the antics of tom and jerry, sylvester and tweetie pie, pixie and dixie with mr jinks, how many of us grew up thinking that the Indians were always the baddies in westerns and cheering when the cowboys won, how many of us as kids used to play with toy guns, or bows and arrows, the violence has always been there, but it is the guidance and direction from our parents, and others in positions of responsibility that have moulded us, obviously there are exceptions just because a person is from a particular background does not mean he will grow up a certain way, most of us are blessed with the power of rational thought, and can distinguish right from wrong, I enjoy playing shoot em ups on my xbox that does not mean that I have the slightest desire to buy a gun and do it for real.

These degenerates of today are becoming evil, there's no deterent to stop them. They get away with it all, violence is widely promoted through TV, Arcade games, PS2 and the like.
I'm not suggesting for one moment that Kens killers :violin: had been hooked on X-BOX but i'm saying that everytime you see the paper, turn on the TV or radio its about anger and violence, this in turn makes it look like the norm and in most cases it is........
I shall protect ME & my family at whatever cost from todays ruthless cowardly misfits.

My instincts on this are that the girl was possibly the target and not a case of shooting the wrong person, Chances are that she is in some way related to a drug dealer/addict and was brutally murdered as a so called lesson to someone, or possibly she is related to someone trying to crack down on drug/gun crime, Gun/drug crime is escalating at an alarming rate in this country, but it appears to be expanding more in Nottingham than most other places, this is no slur on the good people of Nottingham (sorry me ducks) but England is rapidly becoming America of 15 years ago, with a keep off our turf mentality.
