Doesn't relate to your back problems though.
Just an incidental finding-a co-incidence if you like.
Keep taking the pill and eating the green veg...

Sad news Sam

but as you say it is better to know than imagine much worse things. Keep the chin up and get on with life. Doesn't affect your right arm does it?

Sorry to hear of your condition - I have an arthritic spine so I can sympathise with the back pain bit.

One bit of advice - try not to get too down, just get on with living.

hang on in there: I put the condition into the search engine: lots of information both medical and anecdotal from other sufferers. If you are interested, there is a group called CONTACTAFAMILY.org. who may be able to put you in touch with people with a similar condition and often have fact sheets available to download for information.R#?

BB Spina Bifida occulta is the mildest form and reading the link you share it with approx 40% of Americans, Spina bifida affects the skeleton whereas MS affects the muscles

thanks DK still a bit of a shock they reckon thats whats causing the pain but i'm not totally convinced, seeing as i now have upper back pain as well.

But getting an answer out of a doctor is like getting blood out of a stone

Quite often pain is inter linked, I had spondolosis in my no3 vertebrae and it caused pain in my arm as well as my neck, Doctors will only give 'maybe' answers as it saves them from litigation in the event of a wrong diagnosis.
Have you been advised to see a posture therapist?
I have had a floating cartilege in my left knee for several years, so I tended to compensate by making my right knee do more work, you never know a change of sitting/standing position may make all the difference.

that means going to physo and he wont refer me yet seeing as the pian is not constant it only comes and goes adn i can go over 4 days pain free.

Why is the NHS so flaming unfair???

i think being a good helpfull citizen is wick i should become a drug dealer, that way i'd get everything i wanted
