Avons are a number 1 in the summer, but slippery on anything from a damp patch to monsoon riding conditions.

Bridgestones 020 are good all rounders, cant wait to get them back on the b/b instead of the avons.

020 on the pan as well no problems.

Derek has used,

both Avons and Bridgestones 020s on his bird both in the summer and winter, he finds absolutely no difference between the two. Happy using either. He rides in the rain (and snow ) and the only time EITHER tyre has let go, has been on manhole cover, white road markings and obviously if you are riding through wet leaves etc etc.

I think it depends solely on the type of rider you are, so why not try both types???? Why not find out for yourself??? Everyone has their own opinion as everyone rides differently.
