Honest opinion as you asked
There is a lot of utter rubbish said when it comes to tyres yes a new matched pair of pretty much anything from one of the big names will make the bike feel nicer to ride for the first few hundred miles but you don't have to have them & you don't have to even use the same maker front & back as long as one or the other isn't a really pointy profile (EG track tyre ) it will be fine unless you happen to be |Mr Rossi or similar
And here is where all the bull comes in, the makers will recommend a matched pair simply because they want to sell more tyres, I'm fine with that as I'm quite happy to use all those perfectly good fronts or rears all those Rossi wanabe's throw away & no I don't ride like you granny either
Said wanabe's will all tell you that they are related to god because they have the latest & greatest brand new matched pair of tyres & it sounds brilliant right up until the point someone like me rides round the outside of them on well used second hand touring tyres
So round & black from one of the major makers in the correct size is fine for the front or rear no matter what is on the other end unless she intends going on the track any time soon
PS I like Bridgestone's
