Greetings again ... back online - good to see all the regulars still about.

Quick Question - some of you will remeber my possible London job offer from last year. It never really materialsed - however I have been asked by them to do some consulting.

From the mail:

"Would you be interested in visiting for a couple of days and we could pay you a consultancy fee to look over systems and advise on crib sheets?"

Any ideas on what I would charge per hour? The salary that I had asked for on a full time basis was about 40K per annum. This is obviously different.

Ideas for hourly rate / travel etc?

Mmmm....the uni won't let anyone consult me for anything less than ?500/day + cost of travel. This is actually cheap when compared to 'city' consultants.

Forget An Hourly Rate Chaz........

Just give 'em a flat figure for your consultancy fee.

We figure on paying a consutant about ?400/500 per day dependent on the depth of the report they have been asked to compile. This is for a London based company....the out-skirts maybe cheaper.
