Had a free track day and free bikes today

Went to the MCIA media day at Bedford Autodrome today. The Motorcycle Industry Associatiion is the trade association of the motorcycle trade, and every year they lay on a press and media day where we can try all the different bikes on offer on the track.

So, I went out on the new K1200S BMW, ZX10R, VFR800, ST1300, Suzuki GSXR1000, Suzuki M800 (Not launched yet), Yamaha R1, MT02, CBR600, New BMW Boxer, (cant remember the designation because it is brand new but it looks the b@llocks :yo: ), Ducati 999 and ST4 as well as a whole host of trailie types including the Royal Enfield cafe racer which was a real hoot :yo:

First time I have been to the Bedford Autodrome, in fact I didn't know it was there,but what a fabulous little circuit miles from anywhere, and it appears to be the base for the Palmer race school.

Anyway, had a terrific day, rode loads of bikes on track, lunch was provided FOC and apart from the cost of the fuel to get there, it didn't cost me a penny :f

No job, no money, I only went for the day out as there is absolutely no chance of me being able to afford a new bike for a while, only new bikes i get these days are the ones I get to road test! :loo:

Gixer K5 - test rode one this morning - fookin mental if you ask me :} but oh what fun :yo: I wouldn't mind one as a replacement for my R1 track bike which I thought was quick 'till I tried the Gixer :B
