Grille cover for Carbed Bird

Finally us Carbed bird owners have caught up with the injection mob, but with an added bonus!!!!!!

Yes it will be slightly cheaper for us to have a grille on the carbed birds as although we have two like the injections, one of ours is tucked away out of harms way.

Derek had the prototype fitted to his bike on Saturday and simple but effective it is.

Easy to fit too. As they are self assembly.

Take alook at the pics that I took. If interested Jaws is the man to contact as he is dealing with Mike of Mikes Grilles.

if my memory serves me right

Derek took off the very lower fairing plus the two side fairings other wise it would be an absolute bugger to get in.

Not difficult though. I reckon I could do it. Although, knowing me I wouldn't get them back on again!!!!!!!!

just fitted mine today - on a injection bird but the labour is the same, remove both LH and RH fairing panels, and hey presto! sorted, looks nice, well done Jaws:beer: Discovered that my oil radiator had a bit of a bruising, few cells crushed, big deal - or not?

Nice one Clive, glad you got the grips on OK, good ideas of yours, hopefully Jaws can and your bits on to the end of mine, or edit it in to the text.

Its a good feeling to come out of hospital, and then be able to start to do things for yourself again, esp when at times you start to think the worst, i know I did last year when having the ops on the spine. :yo:

Pretty much all the way there now Clive, almost a year (Well in May) since the first Op, had second one in Sept, am now the proud owner of 10 screws/bolts and 5 metal plates. Still got some pain and still a wee bit limited in what i can do and lift, but it does take a long time, will have to meet up one day and compare scars and horror stories! :yo:
