Right then. I reckon my chain & sprockets are about due for replacement.
First question, should I go for a "standard" DID set, at about ?112, or a extra heavy duty X-Ring set (also DID) for about ?143? I ride in all weathers so I'm thinking the heavy duty one might be worth the extra cash.
Second question, is it reasonably easy to replace them myself? There must be people on here who've done it once or twice. Will someone of my dubious spannering skills be able to cope? Is it time to dig out the Haynes manual or shall I pay the nice man at the bike shop lots of money to do it for me...?
Third question, should I fit a Scottoiler at the same time to make sure the new chain lasts a bit longer?
Cheers,
Steve
