eighteen months ago eldest daughter bought a 10 plate Peugeot 3008 from Excellent cars in Sheffield, before christmas she took it Gordon's in Wakefield for a service, they also changed a tyre for her but put a wrong size tyre on.
On Monday she had the car booked in at another garage as the engine management light came on.
Long & short, Gordons had not replaced a cover correctly so water has got into her fuses & wiring & is basically working it's way through her electrics, the garage have taken photos.
She went back to Gordon's who are getting an auto electrician in tomorrow to look at it, however the mechanic lifted another cover & discovered that the car had an engine replacement two months before Sarah bought the car, they are saying the engine is not compatible as it is from a Peugeot 307.
After some digging around Sarah has found that Peugeot do five variations of engine & all are compatible.
Just wondering where Sarah stands if Gordon's try to charge her for the work, they are quoting up to £2000.
