BIRD admin Job vacancy

Unfortunately Richard does not feel he can do justice to the job of membership secretary.

We are therefore in need of someone to fill the position.
The job was held by BIF for a long time, and Richard for a short time.. So if someone could take it on for a medium time that would be great

The requirements of the job are:

You must have at least a basic understanding of html.
You must have the requied software to edit html ( unless you are old farty like me and can get away with using notepad or a dos editor :blush: )
You must have the software required ftp files.
You should ideally be an old hand or someone that is known to folks on here ( though this in not essential, it would be best as the person will have access to certain sensative material. )

Dont all rush at once.. form an orderly queue to the left !

As long as you understand the basics of uploading and downloading onto a server, the rest is a doddle.

However be warned the job is VERY demanding

Hi Jaws
I may/could be interested, could you give me a few more specific details of whats involved with the job? My html skills are not brill but I learn quick, on the up side I can/ have uploaded web pages/sites in the past. So if no better known/more suitable candidates come forward etc. etc.. give me a shout and we could go through it a bit more.

can I just reassure folk

who may be interested in doing this. I have absolutely no html skills whatsoever!!! I just used a program that allowed me to put the details in normal format. Frontpage or I use Namo Webeditor. It gives you a choice of either editing in Normal, or HTML. You just need to be able to copy the existing format on the pages and then be able to use an ftp program to upload what you have done. Its not difficult, just at times time consuming.

Jaws you are putting folk off and scaring them away!!!!!! :}
