Bike People - No More

Went with Polly to Bike People in Doncaster this morning to find that is now owned by J & S.
All happened last week apparently and there was a bit of an angry mob at the door as I am led to believe that warranties on bikes purchased from Bike People are no longer valid. Dont know how true this is or if there is any comeback for anybody who has been unfortunate enough to buy a machine from there recently.

Funny you should mention that, been into CMC at Chesterfield today, and now working there is the bloke from The BP in Doncaster, who sold me my Blackbird last August.

Well from what I heard today, some of the staff had been taking refuge when a few unhappy punters turned up with complaints. Maybe a bit of staff re-location has had to take place! :shooter:

I can understand punter's concerns.
In '97 I bought a new Kawa ZX7R from Rusty's in Scunny. It was an import ( it was at that time where imports were ?1500 cheaper than the official bikes) with no warranty from Kawasaki UK, so I paid ?120 for an aftermarket warranty. I had a carb icing problem but 3 months later Rusty's had the receivers in and were no more. I phoned the warranty company who didn't want to know because Rusty's hadn't paid them!
I then PX'd the Kwak for the best sports tourer there is.

whats more pressing for you peeps from scunny is your chances in tomorrow nights big league two clash down here.
me, i rate them slim to no chance at all :neenaw:
