Beware of cameras

Heard on the news today

A 70yr old man was caught on speed camera, giving a two-handed V sign.
He had been caught speeding some three weeks earlier by the mobile camera.
This time as he was only doing 20mph when he passed it, took both hands off the wheel and give the van the double V sign.
This was caught on film and used as evidence to procecute for not being in control of the vehicle. Result - ?100 fine :xm

Heard the same thing myself today....

What I want to know is...

If he was only doing 20mph, why did it take a picture of him ?????

I thought these things were speed oriented devices :xm

Or do they flash anything which passes them now ???

I got overtaken in the van today by an Audi S4 doing about 70 in a built up area where there was a school.... Luckily on the way back out of town again, the guy was behind me for absolutely ages at the correct speed limit... When he did overtake me, he only got 20 yards in front then got stuck at a set of traffic lights... At which point I got out and asked him if the speed limits by a school didnt apply to him... He said "I dont live here".. SO I pointed out the error of his ways, and said that if he had hit a kid at that speed, I would have ripped his head off his shoulders and kicked it out to sea....I reckon by his expression, he will think twice about overtaking white transit vans in future... :}

Fooking idiots... Theres a time & place for speed... and by a school aint it... :t

Glad its friday..

The mobile ones are operated by a human and are always recording. The person operating it just selects which bits to keep the recording of.
