Does anyone know if there are any rules/laws relating to bank holiday entitlement?
My reason for asking is this: I work part time, this being a week on week off rota, 39 hour week Monday to Friday. In these circumstances I am wondering how BH entitlement is calculated or is it just pot-luck which ones fall on my week on.
Another example I knew of a few years back was of a lady at my wife's place of work who worked part time, but it was all day Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Her oppo worked Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday and Friday. The lady who worked the second half of the week missed out on the Monday BHs and this always seemed unfair IMHO.
