Conveyancing was what my mother did for years before she retired. Replaced by the office junior who had no idea but did the job for half the wage.
It was pretty much mirrored across the legal profession in this area, get rid of the experience as it costs too much money & replace with cheaper, less experienced staff.
The same thing is happening in the accident claims industry. At one time your claim would have been dealt with by a solicitor who knew what they were doing. Nowadays, it's the office junior or a temp who receives peanuts in return for following a process map.
The race to the bottom began years ago.
