Just been to Comet & bought a Tom Tom One sat nav, got in the car, set it up as shown on the easy to follow poster, switched on came to selecting language what language did I choose? Turkish, [faulty finger syndrome] so I thought no problem I'll just follow the instructions to find out how to change it to English, nothing in the instructions & as I don't speak Turkish I couldn't follow the on screen instructions, so I went back into comet and got the Nerdiest looking kid to help me, ten seconds later I was walking out of the shop with the sat nav set to English and a spotty nerd laughing at me. :blush: :xm

So did you select a male Turkish voice or the female variant?

I didn't get as far as selecting the voice, couldn't make out the instructions

I've looked on ebay & there seemed to be quite a lot on there but when you take postage into account then generally it is cheaper in comet [?239.99] there was a second hand one on ebay yesterday that had already reached that price & they wanted ?7.99 postage.

Unfortunately Bev doesn't do technology & I want to make sure my Tent/beer etc arrive the same day as I do.

I've looked on ebay & there seemed to be quite a lot on there but when you take postage into account then generally it is cheaper in comet [?239.99] there was a second hand one on ebay yesterday that had already reached that price & they wanted ?7.99 postage.

Does it scream "SHARON" if it gets lost? I have a perfectly good map of GB which cost me ?6.99! I also have a Tuff map of Europe which I got free from a friend who had two sent to him by mistake. Although they don't speak to me and can't be programmed, they still let me know where I am (roughly, anyway!) meaning I can spend the other ?200+ on a set of tyres!

Can you download upgrades to your maps when they build new roads? & do your maps tell you where the speed cameras are?
