Stone chipping on tail section

Never had this problem

Just a thought but how big is your number plate?,, I know my tail got dirtier when I put a smaller plate on,,,,, also have you got a hugger fitted?

Actually Pugwash, you may well be right mate.. ! That is one of the problems encountered with an airodynamic ( sp ? ) design...
But might I suggest a ducktail ? might well help stop the problem for you ..
They are 17.30 GBP plus postage :)

gday ozcrow.ive got a stock 99 model and the ducktails covered in stonechips.seem to get a lot of crap thrown onto it .dunno if a hugger would help but i,m not to bothered .the other thing you,ll find is the fairing lowers will get badly chipped as well.i use mr sheen furniture polish on my bike and it brings up a nice shine. if you use a normal car polish you will have to make sure you dont leave any in where the paints chipped as when the polish dries it will leave white spots

Hi OZCrow, I agree with Ken Oath I have a ducktail fitted from Jaws and it really does stop the crap on the back of the bike. It?s easy to fit and doesn?t look to bad either.

I think it looks lurvly too :rolleyes: Real style addition, in fact why didn't Honda fit one as standard? like top boxes and hard luggage, GPS, pipes, slippers, Farah trousers, Hush Puppies, fender extenders, large flip up screens, heated grips, intercom systems, etc, etc, etc.... :}
