New R1 - rwhp figures

Looks like our friends over the pond aren't afraid of giving their bikes death from birth!

A guy I know runs a bikeshop called C&W Cycleworks and they had a chap come in with a spankers new R1 with 250miles on it. They convinced him it made sense to let them make a couple of pulls on the dyno with it to see what she had:

Pretty strong isn't she! The top speed showed 188.9mph on the dyno with the limiter kicking in at 14000rpm.

151 hp at the wheel. We're not fazed by that are we Pete!

Ok, ok - so I know that the R1's a brand new, not run in and loosened up engine yet, and yes, I know my bike weighs 30-40kg more, and yes I know the R1's got better suspension/brakes/handling etc etc etc..............:loo: :xm
