4 slots cut in the panel to thread the jubilee clips though best done with a hot scalple for a neat job although you can't see em when the res is fitted in placeOzCrow said:Good thinking with the compression adjuster mate. I also like the rearsets, are they Gilles jobbies? As I'm 6'2" I find my legs are a little cramped on the Bird on a long ride. How much adjustment can you get from them?
yes just crack the bolt a smidge the pipe can then be turned
I'm 5'9'' and have always found the origanal footrests pretty comfortable but with the gilles I've set them further back and lower which has stopped aching knees on long rides
gear changes are slicker with just a gentle prod on the lever to slot them home
but the main reason I fitted them is the looks
