MRA screen

Must be cold at the moment, the trim kept falling off the top of my screen at anything over 90 this morning, so how do you glue it then, without it looking shite ?

I lost the one off my MRA screen as well. It whipped me across the throat on the way and I never saw it again!

I've been told a thin bead of sillicon does the job, just enough that it doesn't show when you press it into place. I've not tried it myself cos I haven't got a new strip yet....

I bet....

..... it looks really cheap without the trim fitted. I was up till today, quite impressed with the screen.
Might be tricky getting silicon into the groove, before pressing it home, how about something like airfix glue with it's thin nozzle, would it stick ?

Quite likely I would have thought.

I'm a bit puzzled why mine decided to come when it did, given that it hadn't budged in more than two years prior to that :dunno: It's quite poss I could've dislodged one of the ends when cleaning or moving the bike about in the garage. I guess if you have a loose end and then the air gets under it it's just time before it flies off.......

Oops forgot - can you lay a thin wipe of sillicon on the edge of the screen if you can't get it into the trim?

I would be careful using any sort of glue, some glues have an adverse effect on certain plastics and can cause the plastic to melt/go brittle etc, I would use the silicon sealant. That is IMHO anyway. [I know how jaws loves that expression :} ]

Mine lifted on the top edge of the screen, luckily for me both clips were tight so it didn't fly off on the Sleaford by-pass. Strange, mine had never moved in over a year and a half.
