Just got back from a ten day trip in the Pyrenees. Fantastic (more of that later).
Just a note about the FI light coming on. I experienced this one day, pulled up, turned engine off and on again and the light stayed out. Just before this happened the engine seemed to have a flat spot around 5000 rpm. I read on the forum that if the ecu is not secured properly this can lead to it bumping around causing all sorts of problems.
That eve I had a look and noticed a small sponge had dislodged from underneath the unit and the strap was loose. I put the sponge back, tightened the strap and put a couple of dirty tee shirts over the top to stop it bouncing around again until I got home.
Just to confirm, this totally cured the problem. No flat spots and no FI light coming on.
