I too was going to go into the garage and fit my nice new Rentec sport rack but its too flipping cold.

What did warm me up tho was the pillock who bidded on a second hand rack and won it at the same price as a brand new one on Ebay !!

Wasnt anyone from here now was it ?

Mmmmmmm ?

Coventry airport... Regional = small = two portacabins & a shed....

But it is OK... Only get there about an hour before your flight is due, and its no problem... No facilities really, but you can get a nice bacon or sausage sarnie & not break the bank:bow:

Tractors tow the aircraft off the pad to the edge of the runway beore they turn on the two hairdryers ready for flight... Then you go to the downwind end of the runway & do a U turn for the take off...

Its not the smoothest of strips, but perfectly suited to scaring the crap out of my 22 year old son who dont like take off & landing...:yo:

when you get back, the luggage is sent to a small shack where you walk through and try not to laugh at the two customs guys who arent in the least interested in antyhing apart from the girls suntans...LOL

All in all a quite quaint place with nice friendly staff & no hassles at all.

Enjoy your holiday... Ours was brill (but far too short-----a few years too effin short)

Cheers,

Rolfy

ps.. you are flying with Thomsonfly I take it...If so, get the toy plane... the engine noises & flashing lights really annoy the shit outta the kids...ROFL

Jeez. They do loads of adhesives (glue ) which type is it and what preparation or primer did they suggest?

Loctite Superglue, "thoroughly clean the underside of the swing-arm with sandpaper and/or petrol" (Scottoilers words) did that, sandpaper but I used a tar remover instead of petrol "lightly coat the sleeve with L/t s/glue and breathe on the surface. Press onto the sterilised area and hold for about 30 seconds, (as I did).
It all looked good when I left it, suppose it was just to cold ?

Superglue reacts to moisture in the parts it is supposed to be sticking together when you exclude the air from the mating faces. Not a lot of moisture in ally box section or plastic that is why they tell you to breath on the parts before you hold them together so at best a poor joint is obtained. Better to use a couple of cable ties IMHO.
