Exhaust swap

Exhaust updates anyway fellas....

After a lot of research in to brands I know, plus a couple I didnt know (Pipeworx - thanks Cougar377!) I tracked down a company called Asbo exhausts near Knott End. The name didnt thrill me but the chat around them was really good.

Turns out hes an ex Blue Flame bloke and basically makes custom cans, full systems, and pretty much anything out of his big "shed" on his property. To me theres something very British about a skilled bloke designing and building stuff in his shed! I love it!

Anyway had a couple of chats with Jeff. Proper bike bloke. Took an 80 min drive over there and spent a couple of hours talking bikes and allsorts over a brew.
He had a stunning BSA on a lift, a bonkers vintage scrambler ive never heard of on another, couple other lovely bikes dotted about, then 3 light aircraft exhaust systems hes using as a template to design and build 3 new ones for customers. Im pretty sure this bloke knows his onions!

It seems im having him make me a custom exhaust that we will dial in the exact note I want with either a GP outlet or twin port outlets, hopefully similar to a Blue Flame or Pipewerx note.
In adition, hes going to fab me 2 link pipe sets, 1 standard for if I put my panniers on, and 1 high level (with custom mounting brackets) for 90% of the time.

In addition, hes reworking my sw motech quick release rack to take my oem panniers with the exhaust hes building.
As a cherry on the cake, I have a custom valved exhaust on my Focus ST (obviously thats modified to death too!). Hes going to machine polish my quad outlet pipes as well.

Pictures and updates in the next 2-3 weeks when I hopefully get it in to him...

That was going so well until you mentioned a modified ST…..

It looks pretty stock. Just lowered a tad, upgraded suspension, and wheels spaced so it looks better and handles MUCH better. I think its how it should have left the factory.
Only sounds different when I push the button and open the valves in the exhaust.

Rest is under the bonnet. Stage 2 remap with all the goodies. Goes nice but more importantly to me, it handles like a good un in the corners!

After years of estate cars for the dog, people carriers for my lads motocross bike, I wanted something selfish!

Mid life crisis I hear....?
Well no not really as ive always dicked around with cars and bikes to make them my own!

I’m sure it sounds great in the McDonald’s car park on Saturday nights:couch:

The well established forum rule is that it is only permissible to call a motorised bicycle “she”, “her”, “he” or ”him” if you have had sex with it.

Many, in fact most, on here qualify..
Does it have to have been with a Blackbird..?

I asked....

"Does it have to have been with a Blackbird..?"

ie. Exclusively Blackbirds (the bike, not the feathered variety).

You replied...

"Yup, anything goes including the FS1E that you ‘had’ at school."

"Yup" would indicate that it is exclusively Blackbirds.

But....

"anything goes...." would indicate that it is not exclusively Blackbirds.
