And Mr Plowden is calling for councillors to take a fact-finding trip to Europe, where private centralised distribution schemes have helped to cut lorry traffic; lorries cause nearly one in three of Camden?s road deaths.

Perhaps the buggers in Camden should stop trying to nick them while they are moving!!c7u8 c7u8 c7u8

When are Labour going to realise..............

...................that life is an inherently terminal condition and that you can't nanny 100% of risk out of the equation. Without any risk, life is a pretty boring proposition.

Take away traffic, then what ? Alcohol ? Tobacco ? What's next ?

I vote Religion - More people have died through this than just about anything else................

...............Errrrrrrr...............this from the Government who brought you legalised cannabis. :bandit: :bandit:

Surely motorcycle accidents are more likely to be fatal. So how can we be MORE of a burden on the NHS? They don't stick your sorry carcass on an emergency ward. %$fan

I've met Mr Plowden. He's a nice fellow believe it or not! He was also a cage driver... and I suspect has now gone round the bend on his mission...

Prohibition doesn't seem to work. Does it, Mr P?

20mph limit eh ???

notice that its only voluntary..... That must mean that voluntarily, we can ride as fast as we like then...:bow:

I volunteer to ride at a speed not exceeding 70mph in built up areas then. All other roads are "fair game" !!..

Also, I read "Residents from several parts of the borough have already called for a lorry ban, which is supported by at least one panel member, Cllr Deidre Krymer."

I wonder which borough they will go for their groceries when they cant get any lorries to deliver to their local Sainsburys ???

Who the fook puts these arseholes in charge of anything ??? let alone transport policy ??? No wonder |I have no fookin respect for management, unless they are at least 2ft taller and 2ft wider than me... then they can do what they fookin well like :}

Just to give you an example... Our transport manager organised a "Jobs fair" for all transport staff this morning... But, while the "fair" was on, all the drivers were out on the road. Then when we got back, all the visiting personell folks had left the site saying "No-one came to see us" !!!

I rest my case mi'lud !!

Cheers,

Rolfy
