You would be French as you would have a french birth certificate

You are French and English..........................



But you have to apply to the Home Office to claim the English bit.

If you were born on a british forces base, then your nationality is british, as it is regarded as british soil, although some people have the fortune/misfortune of having dual nationality. If you were born on a forces base in say Turkey and you were registered with dual nationality, then on reaching the required age you would be called up for national service in the turkish forces... however in answer to your question I don't know anybody who would admit to being born in France :}

we have two here who say you would be english because you know nothing about france , have no french tastes etc etc etc. and eight who say french.

Plenty of Native French persons Know nothing about France and they certainly have no taste w;;v
