Is it the roads or the riders who use them?
The other day on the second road on the list (A683) I saw a rider go past the Bull Beck layby/snackbar (near Caton) giving it some stick. As usual there were a lot of bikes and people in the layby which is on a long straight with a really shitty left-hand bend about 200m beyond the layby.
I heard him crank it up for the pose as he approached the assembled crowd, needless to say he was to busy looking at the layby to see what effect he was having rather than thinking about the corner coming up. He misjudged it, drifted and hit a car head on.
The sad thing is, I've seen and heard of it happening many times on that same bend. A lot of riders need no moderate their egos and pay attention to how they ride.
