When I last rode with you, you didn't go over 80mph........or much under it either. :p You said those old or infirm should go out at the front behind you so I was "amazed" to find myself doing well into three figures at times to catch you up and the "road marshals" were using the full extent of the Bbird to get back to the front. On one part of the road I thought I was really moving on my Blade when a Bbird going past made me look like a snail. Happy memories.

Watch at about 9.15 and 10.20.

The phrase 'complete and utter tossers' comes to my mind.

Never ceases to amaze me that people that post this stuff up seem to think everyone else will think it is cool.

As a point of reference, according to Wikipedia the speed limit on that stretch is 90kmh/56mph.

I have no problem with adrenaline fuelled activity per se, helps make us all feel young. I do have a big problem when the activity affects other people (which this did) and feel desperately sorry for those that have to scrape the mess up and pass the news on.

Every one to their own... I am sure you are not the only person in the world that driving a big car to plumb center, the garden shop, b & q and somewhere to get a cream tea does it for you...
Me ? Not so much.....................

It makes me laugh when people slam others for riding fast when they are capable, we all have the bird in common which even today is a rocket capable of exceeding speeds of most other bikes on the road & I personally like showing other bikers some of what the bird is capable of, why buy a bird if you're not going to test it?

I agree, if you add 'within the law' to the end.

Otherwise it should be on the track.

If you look in the garage you should find a shovel Andy..
You might need it if you do not stop digging the hole you are making for your self !!!!

So you are saying you never rode your bird above 70mph on the road?
I am not going to lie - each of my Birds was wound up once, albeit nowhere the claimed top end. Once for the sheer hell of it, once to get away from a rapidly deteriorating traffic situation that was brewing around me on a motorway.

Not proud of it and I would have accepted the consequences if caught.

Certainly wouldn't have done it 'for the hell of it' anywhere other than an absolutely empty stretch of motorway. And that doesn't make it right.

Other than that I am hand on heart that I stuck to speed limits - I learned the easy way by getting a ticket while in the car many years ago. Others sadly learn the hard way.

Silly speeds are for the track.........

Bit of a contradiction there... depending on what the ticket was for of course...
