Slept most the day after seeing the doc this morning. Bad chest infection he said antibiotics paracetamol and rest was prescribed, haven’t had one for ages this ones really kicking me arse.

Well, last evening, now that I have the Bird reassembled, went for a trip up the motorway to blow off the dust and had a nice hake n spuds in hotel.

Battled our way through France, Belgium, Netherlands finally to Germany. And it was truly a battle, bdillions of lorries, lots of roadworks, albeit very regimented and easy to travel through, and then horrendous weather with a hailstorm that turned the roads and fields white, then 5 minutes later we were on dry roads in sunshine.

Refuelled at €1.729 per litre = £1.495 according to my Halifax Clarity card - no foreign transaction charges 1.1565 exch rate. Also propelling my 4500kg Teutonic battle wagon along was an overall 29.98mpg.

now of course I’ve got to try to achieve 30mpg :nusenuse:
