The thread is about cars not scrap merchandise Dacia Dirk!Think you’ll find I was the first when I posted that I got almost as much as I paid for the duster, incidentally look out for the new Dusters, designed by the guy who has just left designing Aston Martins & I believe some Dacias will have the same engine as some Mercs.
Your jealousy is blatantThe thread is about cars not scrap merchandise Dacia Dirk!
As it is National Pedantic Day……..No you weren’t, not by a long way.Think you’ll find I was the first when I posted that I got almost as much as I paid for the duster, incidentally look out for the new Dusters, designed by the guy who has just left designing Aston Martins & I believe some Dacias will have the same engine as some Mercs.
You are so right. I have thought about chopping mine in for silly money and getting a cheap hack to run around in until normality returns. Which it will.Been offered £1300 more for my 2010 Volvo XC60 than I paid for it 3 months ago by a dealer. Problem is I'd then need to buy another car at probably an even more inflated price.
It's all relative.
For about the third time, I agree with you. I changed my car before Dezza changed his Dishcloth for a Toyota. Or Mazda, whatever it is. Probably a BM but he’ll never admit it.As it is National Pedantic Day……..No you weren’t, not by a long way.
You could always buy a Dishcloth for 6p to tide you over the weekend until you need another one.You are so right. I have thought about chopping mine in for silly money and getting a cheap hack to run around in until normality returns. Which it will.
Nah….
Er, NaaaaaaahYou could always buy a Dishcloth for 6p to tide you over the weekend until you need another one.
You will find it's actually a Renault engine that Merc use - or used to use - in some of their cheaper lower-down-the range A Class cars. I believe also that the Smart engines are shared with the Twingo. You mean the Aston Martin designed Dacia with the Merc engine?
One of the boys in the gym where I used to live has a classic Alfa, V6 3 litre jobbie. He has a Land Rover of some sort for daily use and his burd has (or had) an A Class Merc. He was telling me that the A Class shit itself one day and he rang his trusted mechanic that does his work on the Alfa and he point blank refused to touch the A Class, branding them "more trouble than they're worth."You will find it's actually a Renault engine that Merc use - or used to use - in some of their cheaper lower-down-the range A Class cars. I believe also that the Smart engines are shared with the Twingo.
Depending on who your relatives are!!Been offered £1300 more for my 2010 Volvo XC60 than I paid for it 3 months ago by a dealer. Problem is I'd then need to buy another car at probably an even more inflated price.

Almost missed an opportunity here……Think you’ll find I was the first when I posted that I got almost as much as I paid for the duster, incidentally look out for the new Dusters, designed by the guy who has just left designing Aston Martins & I believe some Dacias will have the same engine as some Mercs.
