Just want to say what a worthwhile job replacing the original cct is. That bag of marbles sound is just not right! Got a upgraded oem cct from JAWS and 20mins later the bird was singing as it should:yo:
It is one of the simplest yet most satisfying jobs one can do on a Bbird. @tu*
What sort of mileage should you expect from a CCT on a 2002 bird? I changed the original CCT at 28K with a one purchased from Jaws (John) and it is now at 65K and starting to make a rattle especially when cold. Should it be necessary to replace an upgraded one after 37K?
Lee
Yes, Lee. Many have been changed at much smaller miles than that. If it sounds like a bag of nails between 3/4000 rpm then change the cct. @tu*
Mine is a '98, carbed and still quiet at 37K. Maybe I should change it anyway.:dunno:
The CCT not the bike.
Ah! Maybe I should take my earplugs out.

Not yet, Barrie. The price of wax is rising due to Brexit. :-0)
Shouldn't that be "Waxit?"
And I happen to know there IS stock at the moment @tu*
